Chronic Fatigue/Brain fog
These issues are becoming increasingly common and are often the result of exposures to antibiotics, stress/trauma, environmental toxins, and infections such as Covid. While many people think that having low energy is a byproduct of not getting enough sleep, it can be more serious and may be a symptom of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Poor food choices, a dormant infection, or exposure to environmental toxins are other potential causes for Chronic Fatigue.
Signs and symptoms of chronic fatigue often include:
- Extreme tiredness following light movement or exercise.
- Poor decision-making,
- Brain fog/memory loss,
- Cognitive decline
Symptoms of brain fog may include:
- Fuzzy thinking
- Forgetfulness
- Feeling tired
- Poor concentration
- Memory problems
- Inability to focus
- Difficulty doing simple tasks
Chronic inflammation, adrenal dysfunction, leaky gut, food sensitivities and stressors such as finances, work issues, family issues, poor sleep, decreased exercise can lead to adrenal fatigue, mitochondrial dysfunction and decreased mental function/brain fog.
Many people infected with COVID-19 go on to develop brain fog among many other symptoms long after their acute viral infection has passed.
